Experience
In the twenty years since the firm’s founding, Heintges & Associates has consulted on over 150 million square feet of façade, and it is committed to the research and development of new building envelope technologies. Members of the staff regularly travel worldwide to oversee the design, fabrication, logistics, and construction of projects that range from single-family homes to museum buildings and high-rise towers.
Heintges’ technical staff is composed entirely of professional architects and engineers whose experience encompasses all aspects of the construction and design of custom curtain walls, specialty glazing, a variety of opaque cladding systems and exterior stonework. Nearly all the firm’s senior staff members teach the technology of building envelope design at the undergraduate and graduate levels at academic institutions including Columbia, Parsons, Pratt, and Harvard.
Heintges’ office is located in midtown Manhattan and houses an extensive collection of enclosure material and product samples, including more than 5,000 glass samples, and a library of internationally relevant enclosure-related literature and codes.
