The design of the subway station entrance features cascading glass roof planes which shelter subway travelers from the elements while allowing for natural ventilation of the semi-enclosed space. Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) modeling was utilized to calibrate ventilation performance, even accounting for air flows resulting from incoming and outgoing subway train traffic at this busy 4-line interchange.

Custom ceramic fritted laminated skylight glass provides additional shading benefit, while vertical glazing incorporates a specially coated film to enhance shading while preserving views. The pavilion is grounded at the exterior by a sturdy water course of Jet Mist granite which extends to the interior wall cladding at the stair and escalators.
