Designed in collaboration with Foster + Partners and Cannon Design, the new 568 feet tall, 800,000 square feet Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK) Pavilion will provide additional space and advanced technology catering to the future demand for cancer care. Devoted entirely to acute patient care,

MSK Pavilion will house state-of-the-art operating suites, private patient rooms and intensive care units. A two-story sky bridge connects the new MSK Pavilion with the original Memorial Hospital.

The custom unitized curtain wall incorporates triple insulating glazing units with a custom patterned mirror coating to give a dynamic quality to the glass. The glass make-up also incorporates two low-e coatings to improve thermal performance and condensation resistance of the curtain wall,

importantly ensuring patient comfort in rooms with floor-to-ceiling glass and minimizing the risk of pathogens developing in a sensitive healthcare environment. Custom profile horizontal profiles and vertical reveals articulate the structure. Horizontal glass fins supported by unitized curtain wall crown the building, while the lobby is recessed at the base of the tower, enhancing the patient arrival and depature experience with an expansive toggle-glazed entry storefront vestibule.
