Princeton University is building a new home for Environmental Studies and the School of Engineering and Applied Science. The project’s four buildings - environmental science, bioengineering, chemical/biological engineering, and an engineering commons - will create a new neighborhood for Environmental Studies and the School of Engineering and Applied Science that is carefully integrated into the surrounding context.
The facility will include state-of-the-art teaching, research and collaboration facilities for seven academic departments, institutes and centers. It will also advance the sustainability ethos of the University, reflecting the importance of environmental studies and engineering in a 21st-century liberal arts university. The project’s custom curtain wall systems include corrugated aluminum cladding, custom exterior sunshading, and deep perimeter architectural profiles.
