The Seattle Art Museum’s Olympic Sculpture Park, located on the waterfront of Puget Sound, maximizes views of the Seattle skyline to the south and the Olympic Mountains to the north.  This urban sculpture park covers 9 acres and transformed a former brownfield site into a new venue for contemporary sculpture in the public realm.

At the entrance to the park, the PACCAR Pavilion creates space for art, performances, and educational programming.  The steel-and-glass curtain wall of the pavilion provides a welcoming entrance by day and a luminous performance space at night.  The park’s Z-shape configuration leads visitors through 3 landscapes: a grove of deciduous trees, an evergreen landscape, and a waterfront, all the while integrating the park into the city’s landscape.
