Vandewater is a 309,984 square foot, 32-story residential condominium development located at 543 West 122nd Street, in the Morningside Heights neighborhood of Upper Manhattan, prominently sited at the crest of 122nd Street overlooking the Columbia University campus environs.

In response to the rich architectural context in which it is sited, Vandewater’s highly articulated precast concrete cladding panel system creates a play of shadow that emphasis the building’s verticality. Custom profile windows manufactured by Gastaldello Sistemi in Italy are factory installed at the precaster's facility in Canada prior to panel delivery to site.

The highly efficient building enclosure was designed for compliance with New York City’s Zone Green zoning initiative, a program that incentivizes carbon reduction through improved energy efficiency.

Heintges provided building envelope consulting services for all phases of design and construction, including NYC Special Inspections.
